Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Married to Kelly (with a 'Y')

Race went ok.  I was really feeling my legs about mile 3/4.  Then I was feeling my knees for about 4/5.  That was just hangover from Sat.  I hope.  Not sure if this is better or worse than last year.  But this much is true, I took 2nd last year in my AG and today 3rd.  :-(

Saw a ton of people from the blog there.  Great race everyone.

Last "race" until SGM!

Have a great Day!

Some days I just don't want to get out of bed. This was one. Then the head wind heading UP the canyon seemed to push me backwards. Ughh! Overall, the run was good though. Darn head wind. :-)

Felt good for most of the run.  I didn't have a route planned out.  I was not wanting to run up the canyon, I felt like I needed some change of scenery.  So I thought I would to two out and backs.  A 3+ mile then a 2 mile.  I had the math wrong in my head. :-(  I thought I was .7 away from home and really I was 1.7 away. The last mile was HARD. I had an ok time, but mentally I was having to push myself. Oh well.

I think this is mile 31 for the week. One of my hardest weeks leading up to St George.  (and this seems wimpy compared to all you serious runners out there.  Someday, someday I just may become a real runner.)

Splits: 8:02, 7:48, 8:02, 7:49, 7:48, 7:41, 7:57, 7:30, 7:42, 7:45, 7:57(for the .05)

Not sure how that link will work.  That is a new (for me) site for logging miles.  Thought I would try it out and see how it compares to FRB.

Had to switch my "long run" to today, Kelly and I are off to Logan, Kelly is riding LOTOJA tomorrow.

I had to cut the run short by 1.2 miles.  I'll live with it though.  While running I ran into an old friend and his buddy. His buddy said that there is NO way I should run a long, 20 miler, next weekend.  Said it was way to close to SGM.  Hummmmm.  Made me wonder.  Am I being stupid and running a long run to close to the marathon?

Don't have the data on today's, but AP was 7:55, and fastest was 7:10.

Have a great weekend!

LOTOJA!

This is a entry for Kelly!

YAHOO!  LOTOJA is done!

She took 9th in her category!  206 miles in just over 12 hours.  That is a LONG time sitting on one of those seats!  Her average pace was 17.5 mph.  OHHHH, and what I think was an awesome deal is she took 3rd on the Queen of the Mountain.  She held back with her teammate until they could see the top and then she took off.  I think she could have won that part, but she is a team player and what goes around comes around and she knew she would need her teammate later in the day.

Kelly had an awesome race!  I was very happy to be able to support her and see her throughout the race.
