Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Felt good for most of the run.  I didn't have a route planned out.  I was not wanting to run up the canyon, I felt like I needed some change of scenery.  So I thought I would to two out and backs.  A 3+ mile then a 2 mile.  I had the math wrong in my head. :-(  I thought I was .7 away from home and really I was 1.7 away. The last mile was HARD. I had an ok time, but mentally I was having to push myself. Oh well.

I think this is mile 31 for the week. One of my hardest weeks leading up to St George.  (and this seems wimpy compared to all you serious runners out there.  Someday, someday I just may become a real runner.)

Time: 1:18:50

Have a great day!

Not sure how that link will work.  That is a new (for me) site for logging miles.  Thought I would try it out and see how it compares to FRB.

Fascinating HTML posting there Jon!

Maurine, I thought it would work, but I think Sasha has the app strip out some things or it only recognizes some html. Oh well, fixed now. :-)

Nice work.

Thanks Paul, I noticed one of your long runs you went fast for the 1-10 or so then eased up for 11-14 then back to faster. What is the goal there?

From Smooth on Thu, Sep 10, 2009 at 18:05:09 from 70.56.100.187

Jon ~ NICE mileage. Monster week is almost over. Are you running your long one tomorrow before heading out of town with Kelly's race? GOOD LUCK! I will be thinking of Kelly. I have couple of friends doing Lotoja...Roman, Rick.

Hey, YOU ARE A REAL RUNNER and a GREAT ONE too; better get that in your head! Have a fun weekend!!!!

From RivertonPaul on Thu, Sep 10, 2009 at 18:05:27 from 67.42.27.114

Jon, I didn't want to hammer the entire run, but I wanted to get in some good marathon paced miles. I didn't want to push things to where I would get injured, but I need to work on finishing up a bit stronger.

From Jon A on Thu, Sep 10, 2009 at 18:14:01 from 67.214.249.195

Smooth - I guess I should say that someday maybe I will be serious about running like the real runners around here, like YOU!

Paul - I think I need to do something like that. I tend to have a "warm up" pace and then sit either just slower or just faster than marathon pace. Wish I could be consistent like so many I see here.

From RivertonPaul on Thu, Sep 10, 2009 at 18:16:01 from 67.42.27.114

Jon, don't fret. I rarely am as consistent as I would like to be. I just sort of go with the flow.

Looks like an interesting site. Let us all know how you like it!

Congrats on the high mileage! It will pay off.

Hope you had a great day.
