Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Married to Kelly (with a 'Y')

LOTOJA!

This is a entry for Kelly!

YAHOO!  LOTOJA is done!

She took 9th in her category!  206 miles in just over 12 hours.  That is a LONG time sitting on one of those seats!  Her average pace was 17.5 mph.  OHHHH, and what I think was an awesome deal is she took 3rd on the Queen of the Mountain.  She held back with her teammate until they could see the top and then she took off.  I think she could have won that part, but she is a team player and what goes around comes around and she knew she would need her teammate later in the day.

Kelly had an awesome race!  I was very happy to be able to support her and see her throughout the race.

My high-five to you in being her support. So HAPPY you both had a GREAT time! VERY AWESOME! Now she can support you at SGM and focus on the BIG BIG DAY!!!

YES Smooth she is my Queen! I would happily skip SGM and go to the BIG day if I could!

Nah, the BIG BIG day is the carrot for SGM. When the last 5K seems like eternity, you just keep the vision of your sweet special QUEEN waiting and cheering you to the finish.

I know you rather not be training for SGM now and leap right into the BIG day. I think the running makes the time fly by and the anticipation of the BIG day occupies the mind so you don't think about the run. Man, I've said a mouthful. What I really want to say is I'm so EXCITED for you and Kelly!

I'm excited too. I am ready for this training season to be finished, and to get to the big day.

Looks like I will have my whole family (Kelly and all 9 kids) at the finish line. What a wonderful finish it will be!
