Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Married to Kelly (with a 'Y')

Ran from the house down Hwy 92, to Kohlers then to State St in AF, then to Target.  Nice run.  Glad I had Kohlers there, HAD to use the little boys room.

First three miles were slow and getting the legs warmed up, that took longer than I usual.  The last 4 were faster.  7:56, 7:38, 7:09, 7:00, then cooldown for .5 at 8:15.  Felt good to get some quicker miles in.

Have a GREAT day!

Ran up Provo canyon.  This is two nights in a row that it took a long time to warm up the legs, and I never felt good going up at the beginning.  Usually on this trail it takes 2 miles or so to warm up and then I'm at 8 min pace or better going up, then coming down I am in cruise control around 7, and have even hit 6:45 a few times on the down/out of the canyon part.  BUT last night it was 8:40 or so going up and 7:18 down/out (last four were 7:16, 7:06, 7:07, 7:43).  Feel like I'm spending a lot of time picking up heavy legs.  Overall ok run.

Have a GREAT day!

Got up bright and early (for me, 4:30) and went on a bike ride with Kelly and her friend.  We went up Suncrest.  13.5 miles on the bike, 1600 feet of elevation gain.  My quads are tired.  Kelly and Wendy went back for more, I wimped out and went home for a short run.  Ran 3 miles.  First mile was tough, the transistion is not fun.  Managed a 8:26 first mile, then 8:10, then 7:52.

Good run, good to get out early!

Have a GREAT day!
