Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Got up bright and early (for me, 4:30) and went on a bike ride with Kelly and her friend.  We went up Suncrest.  13.5 miles on the bike, 1600 feet of elevation gain.  My quads are tired.  Kelly and Wendy went back for more, I wimped out and went home for a short run.  Ran 3 miles.  First mile was tough, the transistion is not fun.  Managed a 8:26 first mile, then 8:10, then 7:52.

Good run, good to get out early!

Have a GREAT day!

Nice ride. I ran up there with BBK's once and it was killer! If I was riding a bike I'd probably have to get off and walk it. Then you went home and cranked out some nice miles as well!

Thanks Rachel! You ran up Suncrest. Thats a good run! I thought the BBK's ran the SLC side all the time.

It was just over a year ago and we did run the SL side, but up to the crest then back down the SL side - it was nasty for me, and I thought I was in pretty good shape.

The SLC side is TOUGH! Steeper and at least 1 if not 2 miles longer than the UT valley side. You rock for running up that!

I wouldn't have called it running for me...more like a slow shuffle :)

Are you and Kelly coming to Onion Days again this year?

From Jon A on Fri, Sep 03, 2010 at 18:11:42 from 67.214.249.195

RAD, I haven't decided if I'm going. I'm not regestered, but would be nice to see everyone. I may come and bandit the race. Kelly would bike around us again, like last year.

Kelly's biking back and forth was a big booster to a lot of us last year. I say you do it :) If you don't want to bandit you can always register day/morning of. Or you can be my official pacer and keep me going at at 47min pace, I'll vouch for you!

Are you training for a duathlon? :) VERY AWESOME ride up Suncrest! That is a monster and Kelly probably done it a bazillion times! :)
