Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Married to Kelly (with a 'Y')

Went up to AF and ran while Kelly and Wendy swam and did spin class.

My first run of the eve was the same 5k route I ran at the end of the day Sat.  Its used for a couple different races through the year.  My time on that was 22:07.  Then I added a couple more miles.  Overall pace on the 5 miles was 7:27.  The 3rd mile of the 5k route was at a good pace, at 6:52.  But that had downhill in it.

Then I tried to get into the spin class with Kelly, but it was a special class they joined to prep for a tri, and they locked the door so outsiders couldn't get in.  :(  So, I took advantage of the extra time and ran a couple more miles on the silly indoor track at the AF fitness center.  After I ran 2 miles, (that was all I could take of 12 laps per mile) I walked until Kelly came.  I think I probably walked a good 1.5 miles.

Anywho, Have a great night!

Ahhh, beautiful snow.  Woke up this morning to a beautiful winter wonderland.

Didn't have much time this morning.  Hope to get out again this evening.  Ran at the fitness center.

Yeah, got out of bed.  Ran the Orem Cemetery 5 mile route, goes up around the old WordPerfect/Novell buildings, then South and loop back home.  Only had time for 5 miles.  I'll see if I can get some miles tonight with Kelly.

Ran up Provo Canyon.  Saw Marion and Luz part way up, they were coming down.  I think they said they were going 17 miles.  Marion, you are going to be amazing in the Provo Marathon!

My legs were tired today, I was thinking of running 15, but just wasn't feeling it.  So, I think I am done for the week.

I'm trying to convience myself that I'm doing ok for just starting the training season.  "McMillan" suggests that I be running long runs at about 8:15 -8:30 pace.  While this wasn't a "long" run I was pleased that I ran it with an average of 7:52.  And my fastest mile was 7:22 and that wasn't on the steepest downhill, was closer to the flatest part, oh and it was the last mile.

Anyway, hope all that are racing this weekend do well!  And if not, have a GREAT weekend.
