Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Married to Kelly (with a 'Y')

Recovery run for me.  Sat is still in my legs.  I could really feel it on the down hill today.  I wonder if that means I didn't stretch good enough post race, or because I didn't ice ......?

Seems like the first run after a race that I actually set goals on is when I do the most thinking about the race.  I really see the need for endurance training.  The last couple miles I fell apart.  Had I been running normal weekday runs of 7-10 miles I think I would have faired better on the last couple miles Saturday.  Also, I am now a little more glad I took the few seconds to get a gulp of water and walk the 20-30 steps just about mile 5 (second drink station).  I think that little break let me reset and gave me just enough break to give me the second wind to push on through to the end.  On a positive note I like that 1.) my AP was below 7 for the race 2.) I now know I can run a mile in under 6 min.  (need to through me off a cliff, but somehow I came in under 6.)  :-)

Happy day, hope you all have a good day!

Ran up in AF while waiting for Kelly and her son at a Dr appointment.  I had no idea where to go, that always throws me off.  But, I got out.

I'm feeling like garbage, sore throat and achy body.  Hope I can get some running in if this turns into big yuck.

Hope you have a great day!

Ran 4 in Lambert park with Kelly and friends, still feeling really yucky.  I thought that would be it since my day was full with activities.

Found some time, ran up Provo Canyon 4.5 and back down.  Yeah, takes me to 13 for the day.

Hard miles though.  Body is not well.
