Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Married to Kelly (with a 'Y')

Ran on the JRP.  Kelly rode her bike.  Got out WAY to late.  I'm always amazed how the heat makes it a harder run.  The first half of my run was nice, I felt good, then it kept getting hotter and hotter and hotter and .....  I was supposed to get 18, pulled up short, I think the heat and the fact that this week is about 10 miles more than previous weeks this year did me in.  Feel like a looser, must get out earlier.

Have a great day!

Come run with the Chumps! They meet super early at 5am. Not sure where they're running this Sat.

I can't get up early either. Most mornings Wendy texted me at 6am to wake me up for our runs! :)

NICE run on the JRP! 14 miles in the heat = 18 miles! Seriously, keep up the good work!

Hope Kelly's sf is healing nicely. Please give her my best wishes!

I'm gonna have to find a way to drag my legs out of bed earlier. I hope I stay on the Chumps mailing list, I think I will have to start meeting everyone. Would probably do me a ton of good.

Yep, when you know you're meeting the gang you don't hit the snooze button. You'll love running with JohnnyV, RivertonPaul and Huans32 (aka Mark Owens, I think you've run with him before.)

I'll have to come run with the chumps. I'm intimidated by those guys. Mark left me like I was standing still at SGM last year. But I'll have to suppress my nerves and give it a go.

Atta boy! :) Seriously, no worries!

did you get Teena's email?

What/when/where do you want to run tomorrow?

I 'm thinking 17 on the JRP at Winchester. If you want to, I can drive us there. does Kelly want to ride or even run a bit there? it is flat!

I don't have you guys' phone numbers.

But here's the plan if you're interested.

We are meeting at my house at 6am to run up to Alpine via the Suncrest road and cut across to the fountain of youth. some will turn around for 10-11 miles. some will run more in Alpine for 17-18 miles! Hope to see you in the morning!

Just stopping by to check on you and Kelly!

How ya doing?

Hey Smooth, doing well. I've been running (blogging to FaceBook), and Kelly has been trying to keep her cardio going by ridding her bike, and doing weights. It is going to be a hard road for her to come back. I know she can make it back to finish SGM, just will be hard.

Was bummed to see I missed you guys running over in our area Saturday. I went a little later in the AM and ran that route you went with us on a few weeks ago. Looking forward to a 20 miler this weekend. How is your running going?

From Smooth on Wed, Aug 11, 2010 at 16:54:45 from 174.23.203.161

Tell Kelly she's tough as nail! I am so proud of her. Keep up the xtraining!

Glad your running is good! I think the chumps are meeting for group run this Sat. Staci who lives by Thanksgiving Point and has been running a few long runs with me need to do 20 as well.

My running is going well. Tapering for Park City which is the next Sat.
