Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Personal:

Married to Kelly (with a 'Y')

I think its always cool when you can run someplace that seems like a long ways away.  Started in Lehi, ran to Highland , then ran to Alpine, then ran to American Fork, then back to Lehi.  20 miles total, I know the cities are all right next to each other, but it just sounds cool to have run in and around 4 cities.

Anyway, 20 miles avg pace was 9 flat.  Legs were really hating this run.   I don't feel like I am at all ready for this marathon.  (SGM)  I'll get another 20 and probably 18 in before the marathon and hopefully feel better about doing ok at SG.

Have a great day!

I know what you mean about running in all those cities. When people said they saw me running in Alpine (while driving in their cars) and know I live in Lehi...they were like WOW! You ran the tri-cities? It blew their minds! Wish I could have run w/ you. That would make the 20 miles go by fast.

You will do great at SGM! We're at the peak of training...keep on keepin'.

How's Kelly doing? I so wish we could run together!

Hey Smooth, I've had a couple occasions that someone will see me as they are leaving their home and an hour or two later see me on the other side of town. That is always fun to see them in shock. But we know that they could train themselves to do the same thing. (well most people could).

Yeah, miles go quicker when you are with someone. I miss running with Kelly. She was saying just the other day that she sure liked running with you. When she is back on her running feet we'll have to schedule some running.
