Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Went to the indoor 6 million laps per mile track this morning.  Legs felt a little sore from the hills Sat.  Probably means I should have gotten my hind end out yesterday.

38:16/7:40 pace

43:24/7:54 pace including cool down .5 miles.  Ok, didn't really cool down, there was this guy that is much faster than I and he slowed and I saw I was catching him, so I had to continue a faster pace after I had already run a lap SLOW.  So it went like this 1 lap slow cool down, oh, theres that fast guy, FAST, caught him, ok, now I can slow down, ran one SLOW again.  Silly I know, I couldn't catch him if he were running.

Data Boy out!

From Kelli on Tue, Dec 23, 2008 at 22:18:55

Data boy??? Funny.

How do you keep track of your miles and pace on the million lap per mile track? Is it outdoors or something?

Glad to see you ran. BTW, in case no one answered your question yet, Moab is a lottery, so it is OVER. Walter can maybe get you in (he has connections somehow), so you could beg him MAYBE. Scott and I have tried to get in 2 other times and we did not, so we are excited. I here it is a nice race.

G'day, mate!

Merry Christmas to you!!! I hope you get to have lots of daddy time with your kids!

From jona on Wed, Dec 24, 2008 at 14:44:22

Thanks Britta, I will have some time. I'm trying to find one or two good "Dad" traditions to start since this is the first Christmas.

Hope you and your family have a GREAT Christmas!

From britta on Wed, Dec 24, 2008 at 15:18:30

I have full confidence that you will start some great "Dad" traditions.

Are you working today?

From britta on Wed, Dec 24, 2008 at 15:38:52

Ooh, I just thought of a tradition that I wanted to pass on. We have been doing it since I was 3 years old. Every Christmas Eve morning we go out to breakfast. Our family looks forward to it every year because it is really something we never do. Anyway it is fun for younger and older kids. If I think of anymore your kids might like I will pass them along.

From jona on Wed, Dec 24, 2008 at 19:07:54

Thanks Britta,

I worked earlier today. Glad that is done.

Good idea on the going out to breakfast. I only have the kids for a couple hours tonight, but longer tomorrow.

Please do pass on traditions, I'm looking forward to discovering the ones that fit and work!

Merry Christmas Britta, and anyone else that happens to read this!
