Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Slept in this morning. (not that that is unusual)  So had to go out tonight.

Ran to the fitness center 2m one way.  Lifted weights and ran home.  Boy is it hard to run after lifting.  When I go out to run, my legs feel like they have all the weight that was just lifted tied to them.

Not bad time.

Now for the boring data, this time I'm including avg heart beat.

Way to cross train! Are you loving your GPS!

From jona on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 12:59:54

I do love my GPS. I find that I am wanting to do weird things like "What is my max heart rate?" "I should go run as fast as I can and see if I can make my heart jump out of my chest and see what the meter reads."

The heart rate monitor is cool, as I'm sitting here getting hunger signals and pains I wonder if someone could come up with a way to monitor hunger. Because I think that I'm about 100% hungry right now.

Are we like cars, can we measure how much we put in and get some sort of Miles Per Pound/Calorie reading? That would be a cool measurement. "I'm rated at 18 MPP"

I know I need to go to bed earlier. I find it so easy to stay up late. I need to though.

Hu. So no wearing the HRM and seeing what happens when I get a little electric shock? Could provide some interesting #'s.
