Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Personal:

Married to Kelly (with a 'Y')

Kelly and I ran on the JRP up in Midvale.  ( I think that is where it was.  About 6800 South)

We ran from the parking lot south, and the path comes to a dead end after about 3 miles.  Kelly told me that if you know how to take the streets for a bit we could connect to the path again and keep going south.  We turned around.  :-)

On the north side we ran 6 miles then turned around.  We saw Teena and her brother and her SIL.  They looked strong and fast.  They invited us to run with them, but we opt'd to let them go on there own and not slow them down.  That proved to be a wise choice.  at about mile 11 I fell apart.  I felt that I'm gonna vomit with every step.  I usually don't feel like that on longer runs and slower paces.  It was the same feeling I have had at the end of my faster run races.  (not that I'm fast, just that I pushed myself.)

Anyway, we did a lot of the run/walk from then on.  But we finished the 18 miles.

I hope that is just a passing something, I really want Kelly to have a successful long run and then feel good in SG.

Happy trails all.
