Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Ran up the canyon with my friend Bill J.  Bill took his dog.  Had a nice easy pace for the first 2.75 or so, then Bill slowed and let Lucky get some water from the river.  I took off, went to Bridal Veil and turned around.  Was running without Bill for about 1.5 miles or so, averaged about 7:40 for that stretch.

The weather was just beautiful!!!!  I love running up the canyon.  The trees still have some leaves and they are all colors.  Wow.

The weather is so nice today, I am glad you got out to enjoy it!

Good to hear from you Kelli. It was a beautiful run, in a beautiful area. Even though I picked up the pace here and there, it was a pretty relaxing run.

An 8 minute mile is considered relaxing? You are a sick man!

From jona on Sat, Oct 25, 2008 at 17:45:44

Yes I am a sick man. But that is besides the point. The miles that were 8.18, 8.34, 8.10, 9.24 WERE relaxing. The day, weather, and beautiful trees were relaxing.

The wind always blow out here, so this weather is always great until the wind starts. I hate that about the west side of the SL Valley. It NEVER stops!!

Glad you relaxed! You deserve it.

From jona on Sat, Oct 25, 2008 at 18:23:17

I don't know that I "deserve" it. Unlike most of you out there I didn't get that MM run (Monsoon Marathon, aka SGM) in a couple weeks ago.
