Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

AM - Went out on the streets, didn't have much time, so ran a quick route around my place, was hoping for 5, came out to 4.29.  I still felt pressed for time so I called it good rather than adding more.  Here all the details for that one.

PM - Took the kids to the fitness center.  Again, want to get 4+ miles and that didn't happen.  The track downstairs is only tolerable in bad bad weather.  6 + laps is a mile (I think its 6.1), I ran 18, then added one to make sure I got 3.  Then I walked a cool down lap and thought that I really wanted more, so I ran some more.  The last lap was 58 sec, and according to the sign on the wall there that equals a 6:00 min mile pace.

Are any of your kids old enough to run or bike along with you?

From jona on Mon, Nov 17, 2008 at 20:40:26

Yes, but they are resisting right now, something about liking to spend more time with their friends than dad. You know, teenagers. But I rope them into a 5k once or twice a year.
