Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Married to Kelly (with a 'Y')

Went to the gym again.  I know I should go outside, and on Saturdays when I have others to go with I go outside, but when I'm by myself I don't like the cold more.

Ran into a old mission friend.  He started his mission just a month before me, and served in the same area's a couple times.  I think whenever I feel bad about my sitsuation I will recall what he is going through.  In 2007 he and his wife found out that she has Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as "Lou Gehrig's Disease".  She is mentally just fine, but she is watching her body just totally fall apart.  She is on a special breathing thing that forces air into her lungs, she can exhale, but has lost most use of her body. (arms, legs, body).  They have 3 girls 18 down to 9.

Counting my blessings right now!

Sorry about your old Mission Friends Wife. What a hard test they are enduring at this time. They are in my prayers and I hope for the best. Knowing that life is Eternal is a comfort. Hang in there with your training, spring will be here soon.

That is one horrific disease. how sad for their family :(

How is that cute Kelly girl of yours? I sure like her :)

It's story like your friend's that inspires me to not whine about life; but to be grateful that I CAN run. How's Kelly's back btw?

Curtis - Thanks. I hope spring gets here soon! I'm a little tired of running inside.

Marion & Smooth - Kelly is wonderful. I sure like her!

Kelly is doing well. She will be at the JRP in the morning. Her back is still sore, but getting better.
