Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Went to the Jordan River Parkway trail today.  Met Kelli and Scott and Rachel, and Smooth.  I talked Kelly and her friends Wendy and Deb and Connie in coming too.  I had to leave early so I got there a little early and ran 4 miles before everyone got there.  Was raining at first but cleared and was nice.

Glad I got the extra miles in prior.

Was nice to see everyone!  I'm looking forward to spring/summer when I can get more miles in outside.  I know I shouldn't let the little cold bother me but I do and I don't get a lot of miles in durring the week.

Have a great weekend!

Was good to see you and thanks for helping me down the slippery slope. Did Kelly and her friend have a good time? They got in some good miles. Oh and THANKS for the sport jelly beans. I really lik'em. Hope to see you again sooner than later. Oh, I hope Kelly will join us again. She is GORGEOUS!!!!

Jon, it was great to meet you and chat this morning! Great job on the miles and I hope you weren't late for the game, it seemed to be a theme this morning. Dang Jr Jazz, don't they know we all need to run?!?

Smooth, I think the same about Kelly. She was very upset that she was having a hard time running. She hasn't run for about two weeks. I kept telling her that she is asking her body to go 6+ miles after not running for that long, that is amazing that she could do it. On top of that she could hardly bend over from the back pain this last week. She said she doesn't want to run with us due to lack of her performance. I'll have to work on that. :-)

Rachel, It was good to meet you too. You three ladies (Kelli, Smooth and you) were just truckin right along. And you don't think your fast. Ha, you and Kelli are delusional!

DB,

How is Kelly's back? Did she see a doc?

(nice miles btw)

Tell Kelly that she is amazing to be out there!

Great run!

TJ - She just made an appointment today. I was asking how it was yesterday and she said better, but still hurting.

SR - Yeah, I think so. She said her back was hurting Sat but she still ran. I told her to back off, but she doesn't listen.

At least she has an appointment. :-)

From Smooth on Mon, Feb 09, 2009 at 18:08:51

Jon,

FYI, Larry told her bishop about her fall last week. We're hoping he can check on her. I'm glad she's made an appointment. I know it's hard with the insurance thing. I'm praying for her.

From jona on Mon, Feb 09, 2009 at 18:13:28

Smooth, I heard that Larry had called her Bishop. I think it worked. Thank you. She always sugar coats everything to me! I wish she wouldn't, but she knows I'm a worrier!

From Smooth on Tue, Feb 10, 2009 at 16:54:36

Smooth beat me to slacker patrol! Dang it!

Hope Kelly's back is doing better and that her friend that I poisoned is doing better!

Cute new picture, I love daddy/daughter pictures. They are priceless.

Michelle, Its just some words from a song. Have you heard the song by Kid Rock All Summer Long Song? (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5g6kj_kid-rock-all-summer-long-music-vide_music) Well, that song is sampled from two songs, one that many know, "Sweet Home Alabama" and the other "Warewolves of London." (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVClpwwicow&feature=related) The words are from that second song. A-ooooooooh!

Kelli, I wish I could say that you missed your last chance to be slacker patrol, but........I'm sure you will have more chances in the future. :-)

Kelly is doing a little better, thanks to Pres Smooth, Kelly got told by her bishop to go to the Dr. The Dr thinks she my have a bruised or torn kidney. She still hurts, but is taking some meds to see if she can help it out.

I too love the picture. I wish I had one like that of me and my other daughter. Something special about daddy/daughter pics!
