Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Well, blah.  Have you ever had one of those days that it seems like your body just doesn't want to do it?  I feel like I haven't been running in a month.  It was all I could do to finish this morning.  Oh well.  Sometimes this happens.  I made it the planned distance, no where near the speed I should be running.  :-(

That's part of being in the middle of marathon training. It kicks your butt now so when it's time to run the marathon, you will be "good to go".

I hope your right. My confidence level is low low low!

From Kelli on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 15:40:00 from 71.219.64.200

This seems like the theme on the blog today---blah running, struggling to get through it, and so on. So, you are not alone!

Scott and I are going to run in your direction Saturday if you want to join us! He wants 20, I am not sure what my plan is---just to finish.

From Jon A on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 15:54:23 from 67.214.249.195

Kelli - I need to run 20. After today, I would be happy to finish 20! Where down this way were you guys thinking of running? I was thinking of Provo Canyon just because it has water stops. Kelly will probably ride circles around me/us. :-)

From Kelli on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 15:56:55 from 71.219.64.200

You guessed it. We weer going to Park in the Riverwoods shopping center and start there, run up the canyon on the trail and then down. Can we get in 20?

From Kelli on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 15:57:18 from 71.219.64.200

And, yes, you made a wrong turn.

From Jon A on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 15:59:26 from 67.214.249.195

Wrong turn?

That would be great to meet up with you guys. What time were you thinking?

From Jon A on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 16:01:34 from 67.214.249.195

Oh, and yes you can get 20. I usually park at the mouth of the canyon and run from there, but then I'm going up South Fork to the top to get the 20. South Fork is where the Provo River Half starts from. That makes for a harder uphill at miles 7-10.

From Kelli on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 16:02:24 from 71.219.64.200

Your blog title...

I dunno, 6 or 6:30. We do not have soccer games, so we are open (or more open than usual).

From Jon A on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 16:07:10 from 67.214.249.195

Funny, guess I should pay attention to what I write.

That time sound good, I have a football game at 10, so need to have an earlier start to make sure I get that, so 6 may be the best.

From Kelli on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 16:11:53 from 71.219.64.200

Should we meet at the Riverwoods or at the bottom of the canyon (by the gas station?)

From Jon A on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 16:13:24 from 67.214.249.195

South East Corner of the Riverwoods parking lot sounds good.

From Smooth on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 16:13:28 from 71.36.65.90

Nice 10 miler today, Jon!

Hey, we did the 20 miler last Sat. We started at Will's Pit Stop (a mile south of Riverwoods) and ran up half way to South Fork. We're gonna do the same next Sat.

From Kelli on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 16:18:21 from 71.219.64.200

OKAY, it is a date. Kelly will be riding her bike?

From Jon A on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 16:18:54 from 67.214.249.195

Thanks Smooth.

So Kelli, if we go more south to the original Will's Pit Stop gas station we would only need to run part way up South Fork. Will's is about 1 mile or so south of Riverwoods on University.

From Kelli on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 16:20:00 from 71.219.64.200

Give me an address or direction from the freeway and we can do that. I get so lost in Provo.

From Jon A on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 16:20:26 from 67.214.249.195

Kelly should be there, and ridding her bike. She isn't looking at doing much, she is in taper mode for LOTOJA next week.

From Jon A on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 16:28:18 from 67.214.249.195

Turn off I-15 on Center Street in Orem, drive about 3-4 miles to Univ Ave (Riverwoods is on the left (North)), turn right (South), stay on that road until you get to Will's Pit Stop gas station on the right its at 36 W 3700 N in Provo.

From Teena on Wed, Sep 02, 2009 at 22:38:01 from 67.177.20.13

Way to get in the miles Jon!!!

From Jon A on Thu, Sep 03, 2009 at 11:31:23 from 67.214.249.195

Teena - Your miles and paces don't seem like you are blah. As always, you are doing great! I DO need to pull out of this YUCK, it scares me. I don't want to be in this, this close to SG. Urrrr.
