Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Married to Kelly (with a 'Y')

Was up in Logan supporting Kelly on her bike ride.  She rode 110 miles.  I don't think I could make it 20.  Wow.

While I was waiting for Kelly and her friend to get to the lunch stop I got a run in.  Ran up this one road that when I got up there about 2 miles I came across a sign that read "Welcome to Idaho."  Yeah, ran from Utah to Idaho.  :-)  Then I ran back to Utah.  Wow, running from one state to another.

Well, 7 miles the day after I felt like garbage on 13.  I was feeling good.  No pain on the achilles. Here are my splits.

Nice run. My brother was up there doing that ride also. He and his friends went 100 miles. I think he got pretty worked. There is no way I could do that.

Wow very nice run and doing while supporting Kelly, can't beat that!! Nice pace too!! So, when is the big day?

Jun - Kelly and her group did the 100, then started the ride out of Logan to ?Brigham City (I think thats the city on the way back to I-15). They made it part way up the big hill going out of that valley and called it a day. I'm with you, I would be DEAD!

Kellie - That is what I thought. Get to hang out and support my girl, and get to run. We are getting everything lined up with the church so we can get married in the Temple, that takes some time, and we were advised to not set a date until the First Pres approves the application. I'm thinking we will be able to shoot for mid Sept. YEAH!

Awesome!! Yeah, those things do take time. My mom had to go through that too and unlike you they did plan a date so when it came down to it, they had not gotten their clearance yet and so they canceled the wedding date, only to have the letter of clearance come 2 days later. It was a tough situation for them but they held out and were so glad when it was all done. I am happy for you guys!! September is a BEAUTIFUL month for a wedding! Tell Kelly hello from me and good job on her major bike race, what an energetic couple! Keep up all of the good work~!

Kellie, that is exactly why we are not setting a date. We have the one objective. It will be worth what ever wait!
