Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Phew, glad I made it!  STILL alive.  My first 20 miler of the season.  I am OUT OF SHAPE!

Ran up Provo Canyon to the top of South Fork.  I you have run the Provo River Half the top of that road is about a mile up from the start line of the PRH.  Thats about 3000 ft of climb over 10 miles.  But I did get to come down it.  :-)  But boy were my legs trashed by the time I turned around.

Kelly got to be my traveling aid station, she rode her bike along side the whole way.  The first 8 miles it was rainy.

Jon!!! WHAT an AWESOME run!!! I am SO PROUD of you!!! NICE to have Kelly sherpa you! GREAT pace and downhill practice. That's brutal running up to South Fork and in the rain. You are so TOUGH!!! You're READY for SGM, my friend! Hope you're recovering well. No prolong sitting today. Walk, hydrate and eat protein is good. Roll or massage the sore muscles. CONGRATS! YOU DID IT!!!

Thanks for your kind words Smooth. I hope I'm getting to that ready stage. Finishing isn't in question right now, it will be the time goal that kills me. VERY difficult to see how I can pull the time out on the marathon. (3:15).

Thank you for you support!!!! Kelly is AWESOME. She is such a support. :-)

Trough run. I'm guessing the wind didn't help you either. Way to push to full distance. After about 15 I would have been asking for a 'pump' on the front handle bars. Ha.

Jun, ha, your funny. You could have run this twice. And still be looking for more climb.
