Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

It always amazes me that you can be running down a road and be alone for a few minutes, no car, no people, just me and my music and my "I'm about to die breathing."  Then, on the narrow road, the first car you see in a few minutes is coming toward you and they are riding the middle line, then you realize, wait I hear another car, one from behind.  They pass at the SAME time.  Now there are two cars and little ole me at the same place on the road at the same time.  Hummm, off the side I go, hoping to avoid a mirror in the back.  Why, why can't they come at different times?  I think this happened to me three times today.  Just a curious thing.

Ran into a friend and his wife out for their morning run.  We were headed opposite ways, I haven't seen them for a little while so I turned an ran with them for a bit and then turned around and continued my route.

I haven't downloaded my data from the watch so I don't know how the splits look.  They were YUCK I can tell you that.  There was an uphill mile that was right at 9 min.  URGH!!!!  Then my legs felt like a ton of bricks the rest of the way home.  I think I finished with right at a 8 min AP.  What a slacker.  :-)

Hope you have a great day!  Keep smiling!

3 times in one run? Curious indeed! May be you should get up REALLY early. Haha! I'm glad no ouch from a car mirror or heavens forbid something worse. I notice Fri. morning traffic is heavier than any morning. It's like everyone wants to get to work early so they can get home early for date night. Oh, the roads on the Lehi bench are much wider, don't you think?

GOOD JOB! I wish I could run a "YUCK" 9 min uphill pace. If you're a slacker, then I'm Queen of slack!!! :)

Have a great weekend. Go run some miles with Kelly tomorrow! :)

Smooth - the roads in Lehi seem to be pretty nice. Sometime you need to tell me how to get to the canal road that goes from about the Temple south towards Orem. I would like to run from North to South sometime.

Jeff - No worries there, I'm the King of not overdoing. :-) But I need to get some big miles in tomorrow.

Jon,

I have never run that portion of the canal road before. I've seen the canal along the foothills in PG.

900 E in A.F. (east of the temple) has road construction right now. So I am staying away from that road. There is a new road between Lone Peak HS and the Tri-City Golf Course that I might explore sometimes. The canal road starts there going north to Highland.

Have fun on your long run tomorrow.
