Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Married to Kelly (with a 'Y')

Got up late, intended on getting more miles, but cut them short.

I think I am going to run shorter again tomorrow.  Still having some tenderness (even after most of the week off) in my achilles, and my ITB on the left leg.  So, easy it goes.

I hope your leg gets feeling better soon. Are you massaging the area at all?

p.s. Are the kids happy and excited for you two?

Maurine, I try and stretch, but am bad about that.

The kids are all excited. They had it announced on facebook and we had people calling us within two hours from across the country. We couldn't get people called and told in person fast enough. :-) Got to love the information age.

The achilles is such a sensitive, fickle tendon. Healing it is tricky. Best of luck. I think continuing to run on it, but keeping it light is a good idea as long as the pain doesn't get worse.

Jun, that is what I was thinking. I started to feel it today so I slowed for a bit, but picked it up later. I think if I had gone more miles today I would have felt it big time. Good thinking!

You don't need to run a step when you're still on "cloud 9". Take it easy and be careful. Larry and I send our CONGRATS. Let us know if there's anything we can help with the big day or any preparation.

Okay Wait, I apparently missed the Big announcement so I am now going to go through past posts to get the official word but it appears Congratulations are in order!!! HOORAY, I am so happy for you guys. You are a beautiful couple!!

Oh, and nice job on the run too :) Nice job nursing the aches. I think you are smart. However, I am still baffled that a 7:28 is considered taking it easy! Impressive :)
