Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Ran with Scott and Kelli.  Went up Provo canyon.  The route was from Wills Pit Stop on Univ Ave in Provo to two miles up South Fork.  Can I just say, Kelli and Scott are so dang STRONG.  Scott ran like 22 or 23 miles to my 20, Kelli has planter fasciitis, and she stuck right there with Scott and I the whole way.  I wish I was good as either of them!

Good run, overall pleased with the time.  I forgot to get GU or anything so I was running on just water.  LUCKLY my Kelly was out on her bike and came to my rescue.  She hooked me up with some gels and that got me to about mile 18.  I would have died if I didn't have that.  The last two miles were just gut check time.  I slowed.  :-(  Really I guess I slowed the last 3 miles.  (8:00, 7:58, 8:01)  The 6 miles prior I averaged 7:40 pace. (7:16, 8:07, 7:46. 7:50, 7:37, 7:24)

Time: 2:45:26
Avg Pace: 8:24 min/mi

Hope everyone got some good runs in!  Thanks Scott and Kelly for running with me!  And thanks to my Kelly for rescuing me!

Have a great day!

Jon, you did great! And you are full of it, but thanks for letting me run behind you guys all morning! My foot held up with only a few noticeably painful moments, so all is well (I think)!

I am laughing at how you SLOWED down at the end, that was my pace the entire way down the canyon!! You, my friend, are an awesome runner.

Way to go man. Those are huge miles. Are you running TOU?

AWESOME JOB on this 20 miler! Seriously, long run with no fuel?! GOOD THING Sweet Kelly rescued you! :) The last two miles is always a mental game! You did GREAT! Your time and AP is EXCELLENT! Are you doing one more 20 before tapering for SGM? You will rock at SGM!!!!

Kelli - Your way to nice. I'll bet you held back so I could feel good about my day. Thank you!

Jun - No, I did the runners series in St George so I could make sure I had a SG entry. :-)

Smooth - I saw you across the parking lot heading into the football game Fri night. You were to far away to yell at though. Hope you had fun watching your son. I have a 16 miler this next week, then a 20 miler the week after that, then taper. Are you doing a 20 this week or the 19th?

That is a serious diehard run if I ever heard of one!!!!

Next time take some fuel with you crazy boy!!!

That is it, Jon, I held back!!

Really, you are just fast. I am having an off month, or few months, and i am just kind of in a mental thing right now where I need to be alone or I quit. I would have LIKED to at least been able to keep up with you two (and let you block the wind), but it was not in the cards. PLUS, I am sure you two solved the problems of the world on that 3 hour run, and you know how a woman would have messed that up!

Hope you had a good evening and are feeling great today! See you tomorrow.

I was confused....hi TEENA!!!

Scott is up peeling and cutting apples for apple crisp, Ashly is making a salad, and i am doing nothing. I should go cut the watermelon and start the water boiling for the corn.

Nummy, dinner sounds good!

MMMMmmmm .... apple crisp sounds good. I'm going to go make some right now!!! Seriously!

(Ry is sleeping right next to me and the kids are running around playing with their cousins. I hear no crying or fighting ... what could they possibly be doing?)
