Short-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy!

Would like to BQ - need to shave 23 minutes off PR.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running.

When I started running my wish that turned into a goal was to qualify for Boston. Just so I could say "I qualified for Boston."

AFTER BQ, I think I will do some Tri events.  For sure some Half Ironman events, and see where that takes me.

Ran 3 miles, then took my son to football, then ran almost 6 more.

I'm glad I got in with a group of guys to run SG with so they can help me keep a controlled pace at the beginning.  The first 3 miles I felt good and didn't control my pace, next thing I know I'm pulling in home with MP miles.  Was supposed to be slow.

Splits:

First 3: (7:35, 7:19, 7:33) AP 7:29

Last 5.85 (8:00, 7:44, 7:35, 7:45, 7:40, 7:51)  AP 7:46

Have a great day!  7 days!

Kelli, I was about to ask on your blog how Scott is doing. He is going to be just fine on the race!

Friday my foot (the ball/knuckles on the bottom by the little toe and the one next to that) was hurting, kinda like I stepped on something and bruised it really bad. Hurts to walk. Sat I ran on it, felt ok while running, had to concentrate on form so I wouldn't push off on the outside of my foot at all. It hurt worse after the run. Soooooo, have been taking it easy and letting it just rest. I'll go ahead and run tomorrow, but will call it good until race day if it does show improvements after the run.

I'm running with Huans32(Mark), and I think MarcE, and not sure who else will join in. (Mark said maybe Scott for a little while anyway.)

Mark, I'll check it out. Exciting!

OH, very cool. Those are some serious runners, they can get you through!! They have a plan. I think Scott is going to do the first half fast, that works for him, so I am not sure you will see him at all. WHO KNOWS!!!

Take Ibuprofen, that is what i am living on to keep the pain at bay!
